Leonardo, EssilorLuxottica’s learning ecosystem, continues to revolutionize how knowledge is shared in the industry by providing high-quality education in a community setting for eye care and eyewear professionals as well as the Group’s employees and partners.
Thanks to a blended approach, Leonardo has earned a strong reputation as the educational point of reference across the industry. It has successfully delivered over 8.6 million hours of education in up to 30 languages, attracting 29.5 million visits from more than 100 countries since its inception.
A significant milestone achieved in 2024 is the introduction of Build Your Career, an innovative section that uses valuable and defined pathways to guide individuals on their professional and personal development journey. This initiative is crucial in today's fast-paced world, where continuous learning is key to driving customer satisfaction and business growth.
This year Leonardo also launched several significant new projects, including a ‘Language Skills’ section to learn and communicate more effectively in five languages (English, Italian, French, German and Spanish), as well as added important milestones to its certificate programs – Transitions Expert and Luxury Eyewear: Crafting Excellence – to enhance expertise on these topics.
In addition, Leonardo continued to expand its Vision Care offering thanks to contributions from its growing community of experts. Noteworthy additions include the World of Optics program, which covers optical correction principles and tailoring ophthalmic solutions, and the Presbyopia and Aging Eye live event series, which present an important partnership between EssilorLuxottica and the World Council of Optometry (WCO) to raise global awareness on presbyopia and the aging eye.
