EssilorLuxottica Participates at Vision Expo East’s First Orlando Show

The 2025 edition Vision Expo East marked the debut of the show in Orlando at the Orange County Convention Center. As pioneers of new technology, the Company unveiled its evolution in the med-tech space with the launch of Nuance Audio in the US and its next generation of Ray-Ban I Meta AI glasses. 



Vision Expo East, the most comprehensive event for the optical industry, concluded an invigorating relaunch in Orlando, FL from February 19-22, 2025. From the latest frame designs to independent labs and medical devices, the annual event featured the latest trends in technology and innovation from across the optical industry. Delivering a fresh energy and a vibrant new atmosphere, the show featured over 400 leading eyecare and eyewear brands with bold branding and experiences.  



Bringing the future of eyewear, eyecare and med-tech to life, the EssilorLuxottica booth centered on its most noteworthy innovations: Ray-Ban Meta and Nuance in terms of wearables; Cellview, Heidelberg, Instruments and Pulse in med-tech; Transitions Gen S Color Touch and Varilux Physio extensee in lens innovations; as well as the power of its iconic brands such as Ray-Ban, Persol. The Group also showcased Diesel’s first eyewear collection. 



Key highlights include 




  • The full range of Ray-Ban Meta glasses and their innovative features, ranging from built-in cameras to open-ear audio and Meta AI-powered solutions. 


  • Varilux Physio extensee: The Group’s first Varilux lens developed using a dynamic replica of the human pupil to offer high vision intensity in any light for extra visual sharpness and contrast*. Powered by Varilux lens AI twinning technology and pupil-variation predicting, the Varilux Physio extensee lens is designed to provide optimized correction for each wearer’s pupil dynamics to reduce high-order aberrations and offer extra visual sharpness and contrast.    


  • Reflecting the Group’s growing presence in med-tech, EssilorLuxottica showcased its new acquisitions and partnerships with German-based company, Heidelberg Engineering (specializing in high-end imaging and data technologies); Canadian start-up, Cellview Imaging Inc (specializing in innovative retinal diagnostic imaging) and Italy-based company, Espansione (specializing in non-invasive medical devices for the diagnosis and treatment of dry-eye, ocular surface and retinal diseases). In addition, Essilor Instruments presented the new ES Pro series, ES 700/800 series as well as the new Neksia v2 series.   


  • Attendees experienced the Group’s brands through their unique heritage and vision for the future. For instance, Persol was showcased through the work of an artisan's hand-craftmanship. In partnership with EssilorLuxottica, Diesel presented its first eyewear collection which blends the brand’s bold, fearless, and provocative style with the Company’s unique craftsmanship and innovation. In addition, INDYCAR Team Penske racer and Oakley athlete, Josef Newgarden, made an exciting appearance and engaged in a live booth chat about his racing career followed by an exclusive meet-and-greet session. 


  • Celebrating women in leadership, EssilorLuxottica sponsored the Optical Women's Association (OWA) Champagne Breakfast at this year’s Vision Expo East. 


  • The Company also sponsored the United Opticians Association College Bowl, which was an opportunity for students to showcase their knowledge and skill as they prepare to enter the eyecare field.
