Marking a revolutionary leap in the realm of progressive lenses to create a ‘bridge between the eye and light’, the Varilux Physio extensee lens is developed using a dynamic replica of the human pupil to offer high vision intensity in any light for extra visual sharpness and contrast1



The human pupil is remarkably capable of adapting to changing light conditions in under a second and adjusting up to four times in size2 to help us see clearly throughout the day.  



Best suited to support this, and unlike conventional progressive lenses that assume pupil size remains constant in all light situations — an assumption that is problematic as it negatively impacts visual sharpness and contrast — the new Varilux lens is developed using a dynamic replica of the human pupil to offer high vision intensity in any light.

AI Twinning & Pupilizer Technologies for High Vision Intensity. Thanks to AI twinning technology, pupil size variations can be predicted for each wearer. With pupil-variation prediction and without additional measurements, Pupilizer lens technology refines the corrective surface on the back of the lens to provide even more precise correction for each wearer’s pupil dynamics, improving sharpness and contrast in any lighting conditions, even in low light. 



Dual Booster Lens Surface Technology for A High Quality of Vision at Near: Varilux Physio extensee is a dual-sided lens, carefully engineered between the back and front surfaces to provide a magnification effect for the near vision zone. This is done without impacting the aesthetic of the lens or the overall progressive power, and the dual surface provides high quality of near vision to aid with tasks, such as reading fine print. 



Proven Satisfaction: Wearers expressed a high satisfaction with Varilux Physio extensee lenses, with 94% experiencing high vision intensity in any light1 and 96% experiencing a high quality of vision at near3



Varilux Physio extensee starts its worldwide roll out in April.
