EssilorLuxottica wins multiple awards at iF Design Award 2025

Three of the Company’s products, Ray-Ban Change, Nuance Audio and Oakley WTR Icon, have won the prestigious 2025 iF Design Award. 



EssilorLuxottica is pleased to share that its key innovations Ray-Ban Change, Nuance Audio and Oakley WTR Icon have been recognized with the iF DESIGN AWARD 2025, a globally respected mark of excellence in design. Awarded by iF International Forum Design GmbH, one of the world’s leading independent design institutions for over 70 years, this distinction highlights creativity, innovation, and quality. This year, there were approximately 11,000 entries from 66 countries multiple disciplines including product, packaging, communication and service design, architecture and interior design as well as professional concept, user experience (UX) and user interface (UI). All the award-winning entries were presented on ifdesign.com. 



Details of the Company’s wins:  



  1. Ray-Ban Change won the iF DESIGN AWARD, in the ‘Leisure’ category, with 335 points. Ray-Ban Change collection is the first of its kind, it is the brand’s first series of light-responsive frames, powered by Transitions. Created with photochromic dyes from Transitions lenses, the new collection has unique colors and patterns that rapidly transform when exposed to UV light, with pigments getting stronger as light increases. 


  1. Nuance Audio has won an iF DESIGN AWARD in the ‘Medicine / Health’ category, with a score of 320 points. Nuance Audio introduces an innovative invisible air conduction hearing solution, seamlessly integrated into elegant smart glasses to provide a discreet, natural, and comfortable hearing experience. With advanced beamforming technology and integrated open-ear speakers, users can engage in conversations with exceptional clarity and real-time amplification. Designed to be intuitive and user-friendly, Nuance Audio empowers users to socialize and interact with confidence in their daily lives. 


  1. Oakley WTR Icon won an iF DESIGN AWARD in the ‘Sports / Outdoor’ category, with 290 points. Oakley WTR ICON seeks to revolutionize the sport of surfing by creating a protection system that allows athletes to push their performance while protecting them when conditions get serious. Until now, pro surfers have been turned off by helmets due to underwhelming and underperforming options. Oakley's new surf helmet balances function, protection, senses and emotion to equip athletes to perform at their best in some of the most challenging environments known to man. 

 
The groundbreaking features and design concepts of all three innovations convinced the international jury of experts, which consists of 131 independent design professionals, prevailed against the high-caliber competition and deservedly received the coveted seal of approval.
