Fedon Hits New Sustainability Milestone with GRS Certification
2 min

EssilorLuxottica’s Fedon plants in Shenzhen (China) and Alpago (Italy) have been awarded Global Recycled Standard Certification (GRS), marking a significant milestone in the brand’s sustainability journey.

As a premier supplier of tailored packaging and accessories, Fedon is dedicated to using responsible manufacturing processes throughout its entire value chain, from sourcing suppliers to finished products, achieved through efficient cross-function and cross-geography collaborations.

This new certification allows Fedon to produce and sell, upon request, GRS-certified products, which elevates the brand’s overall offering and promotes its sustainability practices. It also supports the integrity of recycled materials used at every stage of production, with independent audits conducted by professional third-party certifiers. In addition, Fedon’s GRS-certified sites in China and Italy are recognized for meeting rigorous social and environmental standards.

This achievement builds on the path started with Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certifications already obtained for Fedon plants in Europe and China that highlight the brand’s commitment in its selection of wood, paper and other forest materials from responsible forestry.

Founded in Italy in 1919, Fedon Group joined EssilorLuxottica in 2022 as a proprietary licenced brand. It has since strengthened its commitment to quality and sustainability, fully embracing the ‘Eyes On Circularity’ pillar part of Group’s Eyes On The Planet sustainability program.
